Crafting for friends

Alice and I went shopping on Monday. I don't know if I've already mentioned Alice and that her and Christopher are getting married next September and have asked me to do the wedding stationary. Anyway they have and I'm really chuffed and honoured and excited. Alice would like something plain with silver, white, stars and another colour depending on what the bridesmaids dresses turn out to be. What fun! Do any of you have any tips or ideas? I've never done a wedding before so any advice gratefully received! And I've been making bags...again! This one is a present for a mystery friend (don't want to give it away quite yet) but I was so pleased with the rosette I wanted to share. I know you don't really need a pattern for a rosette but the ones from this book 'Kokoro no Te' by Kumiko Sudo come out so neat that I think I may have a new obsession!

Heheheh!! I'm just about to embark on some Wedding Stationery samples too for a July next year wedding. I can do what I want for the samples (we have very similar tastes) and then can add in the bridesmaids colour.....

I've got loads of ideas, but need to keep it realistic as I'll be doing quite a few invitations, order of service, place names......

Good luck!!

You should make some of the rosettes and put them on slides for Anna's hair! Sew them onto shopping bags, brooch backs, hats, cardigans, aprons, as obsessions go this is not a bad one!!

I've just re-read the post and it's a bit scary but don't worry, I'm not really a mad stalker, honest!!

'Kokoro no Te'

Awesome book. I got my husband to buy it for me for Christmas two years ago. I love it.
