Colour me Happy it's a 100th post GIVE AWAY!


Hey, guess what? This is my 100th post! In the tradition of Blogging I am having a give away. Please enter and tell your friends, it's open to everyone- share the love!

That's a tricky one because it cahnges all the time. But right now I like red because that it the colour of my lollipop shoes and I like any sort of stitching project!

I love pruple too, although I mainly wear black, and my favourite purple thing is a cardinal purple v-neck jumper that I have had for years and years (longer than I've had Simon even) and it is tatty round the sleeves now and a couple of years ago Simon bought me a new one to wear in public. It is lovely and the thought was really sweet but I love the old one best. And I love to do loads of things and I can't choose, can I have two? A bit broad and sweeping but I like to cook and make things!!

(Sorry - it was the kiddie language that got me - to translate I love blue, the colour of the sea in all its shades and all its moods. Technique well I think you know me by now, anything textile-y but dolls are the main thing at the moment.

It would be dark red, but I don't have a bestest thing in dark red... sigh!

Although I usually love any shade of blue -- lately I'm using a couple of my favorite colors (blue & pink)in combination with either black or brown. I'm currently working on a baby quilt in pink/brown and the two colors are certainly making me smile everytime I stitch on this little quilt. I suppose that just shows that creating is always a 'work in progress' !!

My favourite colour is blue, and my best ever thing is a dress I had when I was 23 which was blue check. It was from M&S and I had a pink one the same, but I liked the blue one best. That was more than 1/2 my life ago, so I don't have it anymore. My favourite creative outlet is buying craft supplies that I probably won't use, although I fully intend to at the time:-)

My favorite color is orange. My favorite thing in that color is striped fabric that is in a quilt that I made for myself with various designs/hues of orange. Quilting has become my favorite preferred creative outlet.

My bestest colour is that pale aqua duck egg blue and I've loved it ever since I saw the bestest thing in it which was an electric guitar and my only creative outlet is sewing.

My favourite colour (today, anyway) is indigo blue, because I love my jeans and denim in general, and craft media of choice would be stichin' and printing!(Brown for chocolate and coffee was a very close second!)

My colour has to be red (in all varying shades and my other half says I have too many things in red to choose...(maybe the shoes??? or the bags????) I am not a stitcher, but love my papercrafting! Thank you for a pleasant time spent reading your excellent blog! (And I love the 'Rag Bag')

My favourite colour is dark red. My favourite dark red thing is my 14 year old dr martin boots. My preferred creative outlet is daydreaming, it's great - you can do it anywhere! It's really cheap too ;-)

P.S. Can I have a yo-yo thing for my Christmas tree please?

Hehehehe!! It has to be blue and like Daisie I have a really old (but younger than had husband as that is VERY long!) jumper / fleece - its got burnt marks (on the boobs - don't know how or why!) from a very drunken bbq years ago (pre kids) and is very worn on the elbows. The little zip on the neck has been pulled off (thanks Samuel) but it is still lovely and warm and soft.

I do like any sort of creativity - I love to sew and use a pottery wheel but just do the papercrafting thing at the moment!!

I meant to enter your giveaway days ago but I found the questions too hard! (I like the idea that if you're bullied it affects your intelligence! I love understanding teachers. Thanks for your story.xx)
So, here goes nothing:
When I'm 'working', I mostly seem to use dark red and brown, and I tend to buy clothes in those colours (except when I'm feeling fat like right now so I don't deserve any!). I think the nicest thing that is brown is definitely CAKE. And what I like to do best is to make mixed media things, probably books really, but with sewing on (except really I'm just like Liz and spend more time shopping for supplies!) Happy day! xx
