Swap virgin no more!
A while back I signed up for a kitchen swap hosted by Pink Petal. I was paired up with Sara and was a bit nervous because (blush) I've never swapped before. I started off with knitting some dishcloths using a pattern from http://www.knittingpatterncentral.com/directory.php(I want to try the fairy next!) Then I decided to make a pot holder. I made one side patchwork and I just went mad on the other with pretty ribbon. I have never owned a pot holder or made one and now I am a total convert! How sensible; something to pick up a toasty pan lid which won't trail on the hob and scorch. I then edged a hand towel with fabric and added more ribbon. I was quite pleased with the results, although Sara had told me that her kitchen was duck egg blue and my stash was painfully bereft of this colour so this might not actually match her kitchen! (sorry Sara!) Unfortunately the Royal mail ripped all the packaging so I hope her chocolate and hand cream arrived too! x

I agree with Sharon, the pink will be perfick with the duck egg blue. Possibly the postie smelled the chocs so ripping the package 'by accident'.
Love the tote you made as well, good idea.
right, off to check out the dish cloth link!
